Popcorn Shrimp




Ingredients :

  • 1 lb of fresh shrimp,peeled,deveined and cleaned
  • 2 tbsp of tandoori chicken masala
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup of  all purpose flour
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • splash of milk
  • 1 cup of  bread crumbs( home-made or store brought)
  • salt
  • oil for frying




Procedure :
  1. Clean the shrimp and marinate with tandoori chicken masala , ginger garlic paste and half  of the salt required, for 30 mins.
  2. In a ziploc bag,add all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt.Now add the marinated shrimp,close the bag and shake vigorously,until all the flour coats the shrimp,evenly.
  3. Beat an egg , stir in some milk , a pinch of salt and pepper and pour it out on a plate.
  4. In another plate, spread out some bread crumbs.Keep refilling as necessary.
  5. Now start, drench the shrimp in the egg wash , then  coat it with breadcrumbs and then set it aside.Make sure the shrimp gets covered completely with bread crumbs.Keep repeating, until all the shrimps are coated.
  6. Now cover it with a lid and keep in the refridgarator for 30 mins.
  7. In a kadai , heat the oil.Now drop
