Ingredients :
- 2 lbs chicken legs,cleaned with turmeric powder
- 2 cardamom,2" cinnamon, 2 cloves, 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 15 small onions,chopped lengthwise
- 1 tomato
- 1/2 green pepper,chopped into chunks
- 1/2 tsp ginger paste(store bought)
- 1/2 tsp garlic paste(store bought)
- 2 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 2 tsp kitchen king powder(kind of garam masala powder,available at any indian store)
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- gingelly oil,salt,coriander leaves.
- Heat 3 tbsp of oil in a kadai.Once the oil is hot,season with cardamom,cinnamon,cloves and fennel seeds.
- Then add the onions and let it cook.Now add the chopped tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes get soft and starts blending with the onion.
- Add ginger and garlic paste and all the above listed powders.Cook till the raw smell goes and everything comes together in a nice gravy consistency.
- Now add the cleaned chicken,stir it in with the gravy and cover it with a lid.Let it cook for about 10 mins in a medium to slow flame.
- Now,take the lid of,add necessary amt of salt and chopped capsicum.Put the lid back on and cook for another 10 mins in a medium flame.
- Remove the lid and let the gravy reduce down to the desired consistency(that is another 5 to 7 mins).Check if the chicken is done.Now add chopped coriander leaves and serve.
